I spend my holidays this summer in the town of Palanga, Lithuania. Palanga is known for its beautiful long beaches, and scenery views, even though Baltic sea is not the warmest sea. It took us 14 hours to get to Vilnius by train. After that we took a suburb train to get to Klaipėda. And from Klaipėda we bus to Palanga, where we had booked a cozy room in one of the hotels. Palanga is a small yet beautiful town. As many towns along the shoreline, it is mostly a touristic place. The main touristic attraction is Basanavichus Street. It is a pedestrian street with amusement parks, restaurants, night-clubs and fast-food booths. We went swimming every day, visited several restaurants and even rode a Segway! Segway is a self-balancing, battery-powered electric vehicle, and it was so much fun! That was the most remarkable activity this summer.
I hope I will get back to Palanga to spend several more happy days.
I spent my holidays very well. I did not only stay at home. I went for a walk with my friends, rode by bicycle. It is so interesting to visit new places in the city, by riding bicycle. In July I went to a tourist camp for children. I met many new friends there. We played many exciting games, sang different songs and took part in different competitions. It was very sad to leave the camp, but I didn’t feel bored at home. I went to the river with my father. We swam and sunbathed. Maybe, my summer holidays weren’t very unusual, but I will remember them and look forward to the next ones.
