1) Biographies are very important because they help to understand the person. When it is a book, its author’s biography can help readers to understand the book (Биографии очень важны, так как они помогают понять человека, если это книга, биография автора может помочь читателям понять ее).
2) In a biography it is usually said when a person was born what his main accomplishments were, the turning points of his life, sometimes personal qualities and appearance and social recognition (В биографии обычно говорится, когда человек родился, описываются его главные достижения, поворотные моменты его жизни, иногда личные качества и внешность и общественное признание).
