Leonardo da Vinci was born in 1452 near the town of Vinci. He was a universal man, who was interested in arts and sciences. He studied painting at the master Verrokio. Also, Leonardo was studying the basics of mathematics and mechanics, anatomy, work with metal and plaster, tanning techniques. Later he made extensive use of them in their activities.
Milan period (1482 - 1499)
In Milan Leonardo came as a messenger of peace by Lorenzo de 'Medici
Here, his work received a new direction. He was admitted to the court staff, first as an engineer and only later - as an artist.
At that time, he wrote of the painting "The Last Supper" and "The Lady with an Ermine."
Florence (1499 - 1506)

Leonardo was studying the anatomy, made sculptures and painted self-portraits.
