You have received a letter from your english-speaking pen-friend nancy who writes: … i’m glad you’ve got good marks in most subjects this year. was it more difficult to study this final year than the previous one? why so? what new subjects did you study? what are your plans now that you’ve finished school? i’ve always wanted to have a dog, and my parents have finally bought me one! answer her questions; ask 3 questions about the new pet.

Dear Nancy,

I'm very happy to hear from you so soon.

Yes, I've got really good marks in most subjects this year. But it was more difficult to study as it was the final school year. I had to take some exams and they weren't easy at all.

I also had a new subject at school. It was astronomy. I found it quite interesting and even fascinating.

My parents wanted me to be more serious and hard-working. So now I'm tired and exhausted. I'm going to have the most wonderful holidays. In September I'm starting my study at university.

I'm glad your parents have finally bought you a dog. I think dogs are faithful friends. What's its name? What does it look like? How do you spend your time together?

Hope you're having fun with your dog!

Best wishes,
