Task 1. Read the text below and fill in with the words: astronauts, begin, village, land, spacecraft.

Living on Mars

Would you like to go into space? How would you feel, looking back at Earth? It would be amazing, wouldn't it? But how would you feel if you had to stay up there? Believe it or not, a Dutch organisation is planning to send humans to live on the planet Mars! The purpose of the Mars One project is to build a small 1) on Mars where people can live. Thousands applied for a place on the mission, but only 24 people can go on the first 2). However, before they leave, there is a lot of work to do. The astronauts have to train very hard for their mission and study science, technology and medicine.

Mars One is also going to send a rover in 2018 to test some of the technology the astronauts will use. Then, in 2020, another rover will land on Mars. Its job is to find a good place for the humans to build their village. In 2022, six spacecraft will travel to Mars carrying everything the 3)will need to live on Mars, including a machine to produce water and make the air safe to breathe. Two years later, the astronauts will 4) and their adventure will 5)!
