The history of ancient China has always fascinated people. Along with ancient Egypt, Babylon and India, this country presents one of the four ancient civilizations with thousands of years of continuous history. Its cradle is believed to be the Yellow River.

The geography of ancient China has largely determined its further development. Being located in Asia, this country consists of forests, mountains and hills. So, ancient Chinese people irrigated land for living, fished and farmed.

The ancient Chinese used special symbols in written language, called hieroglyphs. China boasts one of the oldest structures in the world. Some of the parts of the Great Wall are said to be built as early as the 7th century BC. This remarkable fortification was built the emperor Shi Huang to protect and unite the nation.

In conclusion, I’d like to say that ancient China has contributed a lot to the world literature, philosophy, science and arts.
