The tulip is a bulbous plant of the lily family that hibernates in the ground. It grows wild in Central Asia, on the lands adjacent to the Caspian and Black Seas, in the Mediterranean. The dry-scaled bulb is usually brown or copper colored. The flowers are single, large, their color is very diverse, the stem is long, the leaves are petiolate, longitudinally oval, pointed, covered with a wax coating. Currently, there are about 2,500 varieties, united in 15 garden classes.
