Paris, the City of Light, has been a world cultural capital for hundreds of years. Travelers have been attracted to its reputation of being one the most alluring and romantic of all cities, awash with history, and remaining influential to this day in the realms of food, fashion, art and design.
It is one of the world's most expensive cities. Even with that in mind, it does not mean you can't afford to visit Paris. If you are in need of a great vacation, there are plenty of free activities, sights to see, and things to do, and you don't have to spend anything.
