Learn the situations and decide whether the following statements are True or False.
1. Wines phoned Eagan saying: "I offer you my mobile phone for $250. Is it a deal?" Eagan answered: " Sounds fair, sure. Bring it tomorrow." They made a contract.
2. Along a beach a child is swept out to the sea by a sudden wave. The frighten mother screams out: "Save Timmy! I'll give you anything!" You swim and rescue Timmy and ask for $10,000. You made a contract.
3. Mr Grifferson promised a certain sum of money to his nephew under the condition that his nephew will not drink alcohol, smoke and gamble. They made a contract as the restrictions observed by the nephew can be seen as consideration.
4. A son made a contract with his father to not cut an oak woodland. As consideration for this, the son would make a payment to his sister of $2000 once she had married. The father died before the sister was married. She is entitled to get money as the third party to the contract.
5. During the break Julia left her schoolbag with a lap top in the school hall. After a class she posted an ad offering $15 to anyone who would return her bag. Ms Lehman, a teacher, who had not seen the ad found the bag and returned it. She is entitled to get $15.
