Aesop's fable
The Boy who Cried Wolf
A boy decides to play a game with the people of his village. He shouts that he sees a wolf - an animal that is like a
dog but more dangerous - that is trying to eat the farmers' sheep. The villagers run to see the wolf, but the wolf
isn't there. The boy does it again and the villagers come, but there is no wolf. In the end, a wolf really comes, the
boy screams, but no one comes and the wolf eats the sheep. The lesson is if you lie too much, no one will believe
you when you tell the truth.
6. The villagers believe the boy every single time he says there's a wolf.
