my first job
0 my first own. official job was as a paper-girl for the weekly own

3 our neighbourhood. when i started at six o'clock in the
4 morning and finished at around 8: 15, in time to dash off

6 my father was so proud of my progress that he decided to
7 buy me a second-hand bicycle, which ait out my workload
8 in half. i learned a few of important lessons at the job, too.
9 the first lesson was punctuality. if their papers weren't
10 delivered on time, customers would telephone to the shop
11 and complain. another lesson i learned concerned about
12 customer service. when regular customers were pleased
13 with my work, they gave to me generous tips and presents
14 at christmas. finally, i learned how to handle money,
15 something that it has been invaluable to me ever since.
