BLOG About Photo Gallery Contact A I'm Derek and I'm from Galway. Ireland. My town holds the Galway Arts Festival every July. The festival lasts for two weeks and atracts people from all over Ireland and the rest of the world. B Preparations for the festival begin many weeks before the event. Participating artists and musicians create new works of art and practise their performances so that they are ready in time. Local people prepare exhibition centres, and engineers and technicians install stages and stalls around the town. C During the festival there are many events and activities, which include exciting live music concerts, theatre and dance performances, comedy shows and visual arts performances. The streets are crowded for two weeks, and some people wear weird haircuts and colourful costumes.
