PART 1
Come in,' said a voice. Jane Ross opened the door and
went into a small room. There was a man sitting behind
a table.
'Good afternoon,' said Jane.
"I want to see Madame Yolanda, the fortune-teller.'
"Madame Yolanda isn't here today, said the man. 'But
don't worry. I'm going to tell you about your future.
What questions do you want to ask?' Jane looked at the
fortune-teller. She couldn't see him very well because
the room was very dark.
To answer this question, we can refer to the sentence where Jane says, "I want to see Madame Yolanda, the fortune-teller."
2. The man behind the table is going to tell her about her future because Madame Yolanda isn't there.
The man informs Jane that Madame Yolanda isn't there and assures her that he will tell her about her future instead. The reason why he is going to do this is because Madame Yolanda is not available at that moment.
3. Jane couldn't see the man very well because the room was very dark.
In the sentence, it is mentioned that the room was very dark. This lack of light made it difficult for Jane to see the man sitting behind the table clearly, resulting in her inability to see him properly.
