Which is better: to have siblings or to be an only child?
I have always considered myself happy to have a sister. I do not say she has never annoyed me but I remember the time when I was an only child in my family (I am five years older than my sister), so I can compare. I will give my reasons why I think it is better to have siblings.
Firstly, we are never bored when we are together. We can play games or dance or sing songs — it is so much more fun than doing something like that on my own. Even doing housework seems to be not so monotonous and tiring if we do it together. Secondly, we can always count on each other to be there when we need a helping hand. Although there are days when we quarrel with each other , we usually forget about it in a few minutes. I hope that in the future we will always be friends, and if either of us needs a hug or a shoulder to cry on, the other will be there as soon as possible. Thirdly, I help my sister with her homework and this also helps me to remember the stuff better. One more reason is that my sister makes me realize that I have grown up: she asks for my advice and she usually follows it. Besides, when our parents are old, they will have two daughters to help them.
I cannot imagine my life without my sister. When I have my own family, there will definitely be a few kids in it!
