I think yоu should have given little more description, like where you live, what kind of food your friends like but based on the little information I have, I would say that you guys should go to a  restaurant and let them order. When you are meeting with friends you don't have much time to cook or serve or cleaning, so it will be much better to go and enjoy in this waу.
