I'd like to tell you about something from the past of our history. The picture is an icon, it shows Varnava Vetluzhskiy.
He was a priest in Ustyug, some ancient town in Kostroma
region. Varnava Andreevich Boretskiy was sent there to serve
God from Novgorod the Great. His wife and two children
were killed by enemies during tatars' intervention. They say,

Varnava came to our place in 1417, more than 600 years ago.
He lived alone on a huge hill above the Vetluga river.
