Greenfield is a small village in England. It lies in a broad rural area in the southern edge of the South Pennines. It is not far from Manchester. There are five
buses to Manchester every day, but there is only one train. There are not many
people on the train at five o'clock in the morning. The population of this village is
about two thousands inhabitants.
The village has a long and interesting history and it is famous by its wonderful
nature. The architecture is mostly old, there are some ancient landmarks here. The
church is in the middle of the village on the square. There are many other buildings
on the central square too. There is a bank, a post office a bus station and a police
station. The library is behind the police station. There is a small river in Greenfield
and there is a bridge across the river.
There is a beautiful garden in front of the bridge. There is no traffic, no noise, and
no pollution.
