Friends, do you say you have? Jane: Well, it is a very difficult answer; it depends on what you mean by friends. In my opinion, I get on well with a lot of people at school, there may be thirty-five people but I do not call them friends….
Sam: Do you socialize with someone outside the school?
Jane: Oh yes, maybe not that often, but we meet up after school sometimes. Then, I have got some friends with whom I go jogging and I also go to the gym with them. I think, I do not have a lot in common with them apart from running and exercising, but I can call them friends anyway.
Sam: I see, how many of these friends can you ask for help?
Jane: Well, some people say that a true friend is a person who can help you out in difficult times.. Friends you can really trust…. I don’t have so many of those. One or two, really. I never fall out with them.
Sam: And what about networks? Do you have any online friends?
Jane: No, not really. I do not believe in such kind of friendship. What about you?
Sam: I am different. I have a lot of friends on Facebook, Twitter, VK and so on. It is so exciting to have friends all over the world.
Jane: Yes, that’s interesting…
