In the east of the country, the only large virgin forests in Europe have survived - Belovezhskaya Pushha, Peninsky Park, Oytsovsky National Park, in which, in addition to beautiful nature, medieval castles located on limestone mountains are admired. In the north, there is a chain of numerous lakes located among picturesque hills and forests - a unique land of the Great Masurian Lakes, where slender pines are reflected in the mirror-like surface of the water. Poland has preserved the unique ecosystem of the Biebrza Marshes, one of the last natural wetlands in Europe. On the coast of the country there are several hundred kilometers of golden sandy beaches, floating sand dunes in the Slovinsky National Park and excellent opportunities for water sports.
