“I think, snow and rain destroyed the Kyzyl-Agash dam in the Almaty region. The result was one of the worst floods in the history of our country. I am sure that our village was flooded very quickly. 2 thousand people from the Kyzyl-Agash settlement had to evacuate quickly because they might have been injured. The authorities promised to help us with the destroyed houses and pay 500 thousand tenge. I think that usually people can’t solve such serious problems without help” (Alibek, 25 years old).

Alibek thinks the water from the dam quickly covered all the village.
The authorities refused to pay money to those people who suffered.
