Complete the text using was / were, there was / there were. this is a picture of my town thirty years ago. a lot of shops in the high street. they open from 9 till 5. a library too. it open until late some evenings. so many books there! at the corner of my street a sweet shop. it a small shop but inside hundreds of jars of sweets and chocolstes. it my favourite shop! many cars in my town, so a lot of traffic. i knew a lot of people in the town. they all very friendly. i had many friends at school. they all very easy-going. after school we usually played football. a football field behind my school. it quite small, but we didn't care!
