Transport is the easiest way of moving people and goods from one location to another. The different types of transport are air, water, and land (road and rail) transport. Our choice depends on the purpose for travelling and length of the journey.
Air transport is the transport of passengers and freight from one location to another in the air using airplanes, helicopters and hot - air balloons. Air transport is a fast and efficient system which offers comfort and high quality service.
Water transport is the process of moving people, goods by boat, ship or yacht over a sea, ocean, lake, canal, or river. Water transport is the cheapest and the oldest type of transport. It’s important to remember that water transportation isn’t only required for use on the sea or ocean, but also for inland rivers and canals.
Road transport or road transportation is a type of transport that uses roads. Transport on roads can be grouped into the transportation of goods and transportation of people. Movement along roads may be by bike or car, bus or truck.
Rail transport is a means of transferring passengers and goods on trains running on rails, which are located on tracks. Trains also can be specialized for passenger and freight. Railways are a safe land transport system when compared to other forms of transport.
