The City Gates of Minsk are
a famous landmark of Belarus,

The Gates welcome all visitors arriving
at the city. The buildings are situated
in one of the busiest squares of
Minsk - Privokzalnaya Square. They
overlook the railway station, and the bus terminal is quite close by.
The unique buildings are an excellent example of the post-war

One of the towers
is decorated with the huge (3.5 metre in
diameter), 100-year old clock. The minute
hand (cTpeka) is 2 metres long and the clock
itself weighs 300 kilos.
The top of the other tower shows the

Socialist Republic. On the four sides of
the towers there are some sculptures
