Horses are hooved mammals that have evolved over the years into domesticated animals. Although this is the case for most horses there are a few wild horses still around.

Because of the way horses are built, they are swift animals who are capable of great balance. Horses have a very highly tuned flight or fright instinct and they often sleep standing up.    

Horses can be either the same color all over (whole colors) or a mixture of colors (broken colors). There are thousands of different color combinations for horses. The most commonly recognized whole colors are - bay, black, brown, chestnut, dun, cream, palomino, or grey. I love horses.
