V A pub lunch
Many British pubs offer a 'ploughman's
lunch' similar to the food of farmworkers
in the past. This is a simple meal of
fresh bread and butter, a chunk of
cheese, a slice of ham, a spicy sauce
called 'chutney, and a salad. It's
plain, healthy and cheap, and
great to enjoy in a pub garden
in summertime
