the indo- european family of languages. the capital of tatarstan is kazan. it is located on the left of the volga river and was founded in 1177 by the bulgar tzar idrahim. in is a big political, economic and cultural centre.it is the seat of the republic government, the high court, the academy of siences and many administrative bodies. kazan is also the cultural centre. there are many
libraries, theatres, museums, monuments and other places of interest in it. one of the beautiful cathedrals in kazan is st. paul's cathedral.
