In the far distance I noticed a long dark funnel or tube. I realised it was a tornado that was moving towards the farm. I suddenly felt very scared and screamed for my grandparents. Fortunately, they have an underground shelter where we climbed down to protect ourselves. The tornado passed over us. It was a very frightening experience with a horrible noise as the tornado ripped roofs from buildings and tossed heavy objects like trees into the air. When it finally passed, I was so relieved and very happy to be alive!
