It's good to have a pet. You can always play with it, it will warm you in cold nights, some pets can be very useful (cats can catch mice). But, on the other hand, they can make some damage at your flat or make some noise at night and wake you up, or when they will die, you'll be very-very upset. But it's not boring anyway.
