Hey,  (имя друга/подруги). You probably don't want to speak to me. I understand. I just want to say I'm sorry I missed your birthday party.  I know that I hurt your feelings but I couldn’t come.

I know it sounds stupid but I didn’t have any new cool clothes. I also had my hair cut and I didn’t like it at all. I heard that Alex was also invited to your party and you know how much I like him… I didn’t want him  to see me like this. I'm sorry for being such a terrible friend. I feel embarrassed and ashamed.

By the way, how was the party? I hope you had fun and received a lot of cool presents. Talking about presents, I’m sorry that my present for you is still at home, so tell me if you want to see me this week. We could have our favourite pizza at that old restaurant by the sea.
