Kazakhstan is the largest country in the world that has no outlet to the World Ocean, while the territory of Kazakhstan is washed by the inland seas: the Caspian and Aral. The nature of Kazakhstan is beautiful in its own way. It is harsh, since most of the country's territory is made up of deserts - 164 million hectares (44%) and semi-deserts (14%), Only 26% of the territory is occupied by steppe territories, and only 5.5% (21 million hectares) - forest zones. In the central part of the country there is the “yellow steppe” - Sary-Arka, and to the west of it - the Turgai plateau. The territory of Kazakhstan is so vast that it covers the Ural Mountains in the West and Altai and Tarbagatai in the East. In the southwest there is the Ustyurt Plateau and the Caspian Sea coast. The eastern part of Kazakhstan rests on the northern Tien Shan.

The climate in the republic is mostly sharply continental. In the south, the temperature in summer reaches + 49 degrees, and in the north in winter it can drop to -57 degrees. At the same time, the weather in the desert is often changeable and unstable, it is hot during the day, and at night the northern winds blow, which bring cold with them.
