The Passive – страдательный залог
The Passive is used when the action is more important than the person who does it. – Страдательный залог используется, когда действие является более важным, чем тот, кто это делает.
To mention the person or thing who does the action we use the word by. – Чтобы упомянуть человека или вещь, которая выполняет действие, мы используем слово by.
To form the Passive we use the auxiliary verb be + the Past Participle. – Для образования страдательного залога мы используем вспомогательный глагол быть + причастие прошедшего времени.
The Icehotel is made of ice and snow. – Ледяной отель сделан из льда и снега.
This five-star resort is being built below the sea. — Этот пятизвездочный курорт возводится под морем.
Two people were murdered while the castle was being built. — Два человека были убиты во время строительства замка.
It has been fully restored. — Он был полностью восстановлен.
