I think that the main idea of the story is expressed in the third sentence. The spaceman was so frightened that he could hardly control himself. First, he froze with fear. Second, the name of Bernie Summers, who had died in space, came to his mind. The spaceman was sure that Bernie's ghost was trying to gеt back to his spacesuit. Third, he feinted and fell down. Actually, he got scared because of a small kitten!
