We’ve just done a project on New Zealand at school and it was really (1) scary/informative. I didn’t know much about
the country before except that it is made up of two
(2) islands/ice caps in the Pacific Ocean. Now I know that it
also has some very high (3) beaches/mountains and even
some volcanoes. If you've seen the (4) documentary
/fantasy film, The Hobbit, you must have seen them! The
fictional land of Middle Earth in the film is really New
Zealand!
I worked with two (5) neighbours/classmates and we got
most of our information for the project from
(6) manuals/encyclopaedias . We used
(7) guidebooks/dictionaries to look up the place names in
the Maori language, which was really interesting. I found
the Internet really useful because it was easy to
(8) turn over/look up useful information. For example, I
(9) turn up/found out that New Zealand is one of the safest
countries in the world. The number of people
(10) charged/suspected with crimes is going down all the
time
