Earth is the third planet from the Sun, the largest in size and density and mass among the terrestrial planets of the Solar system. Our planet is the only known planet in the Universe inhabited by living beings. Scientists have found that the Earth was formed approximately of 4.54 billion years ago from a disk-shaped mass of gas and cosmic dust, remaining after the formation of the Sun.
