At school we study a lot of subjects: Physics, Maths, Chemistry, Geography and many others. Many of them are really interesting and useful, however, I've always preferred Humanities.I was fascinated about Ukrainian and world literature and History, but English has always been my favourite subject. There are several reasons for that.Among many languages English — as the most widespread language in the world and, besides, as the international computer language — is, to my mind, the most important. What is more, it is a very melodic language. It is a language with a long history. Many traditions of English people are reflected in their language. Moreover, to study a foreign language means to learn more about the country: its culture, history and traditions, and people: their lifestyles and attitudes.Such interest in other people's life usually broadens up your mind, makes you more tolerant to people's opinion and helps you to understand people of another culture. And just think of the possibility of being able to talk freely to a foreigner about business, politics, culture, sport and hobbies! So, the knowledge of the English language gives you the freedom to express your opinion and to understand other people both in our country and abroad. Our lessons of English have always been varied and exciting.Although sometimes we have to do such difficult things as doing grammar exercises, learning large texts and dialogues by heart, the majority of other activities are interesting: we learn rhymes and proverbs, write essays, and even play games! For translation and connection to the Internet, we often use a variety of gadgets.I use my ipad mini 32gb.Our teacher often gives us topics for discussion — a kind of a «hot potato».We discuss a problem in groups and then express our ideas on the point. In fact, I like texts for listening most: they are often funny, with an interesting plot and unpredictable ending.Frankly speaking, I use the possibility to improve my English not only during the school classes, but at home as well.In order to deepen my knowledge of the subject, I watch video films and TV programmes in English (English Club is the one I like most), read news in English on the Internet and do interactive exercises.
