THERE WAS / THERE WERE / WAS / WERE My countryside town very different in the past. less shops and no cinema. When my Grandmother 18, she left my town and moved to the city. The city bigger and busier. more job opportunities for her. One day, she got a job in a clothes shop. She very happy because lots of clothes for her to try on and buy. It was very busy and lots of customers. Often, she very stressed. always lots of work. In the end, she decided to go back to the country because lots of fields and trees, and it quieter and more peaceful.
