There are many forms of public transport in the modern world but for travelling long distances within a country trains are
probably the best.
Travelling by train has a number of advantages. Firstly, they are comfortable. You can relax and read a book or watch a
film on your laptop. They are also a fast way to travel and so you will get to where you are going quickly without being
On the other hand, trains have some drawbacks. Tickets can be very expensive, especially if you want to travel in the
comfortable first class sections. Secondly, they can get very packed.
To sum up, there are both advantages and disadvantages to travelling by train. Although trains can be quite comfortable
when they aren't busy, they cost quite a bit of money to travel on.
