I would like to tell you a few words about my school life. I go to school five days a week except Saturday and Sunday when I have deserved rest. Classes in our school start at 8 :30 o'clock in the morning and last till 15:00. Usually we have 6 or 7 lessons a day. We study a lot of different subjects: Russian, English, History, Geography, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Math, etc. I like English most of all. I usually receive good marks in these subjects. My teachers and parents think that I feel an inclination to these subjects. A school year is divided into four terms. It begins on the 1st of September known as the Day of knowledge and finishes in May. Each term is followed by holidays that last one week in autumn and spring and two weeks in winter.
There are many ways of traveling – by train, by plane, by ship, on foot. If you want to visit a far country, you’ll definitely choose a flight. If your aim is to see many countries for a short time, you’ll choose travelling by bus or by car. If you want to be closer to nature, you may choose a trip on foot.
Lots of people nowadays live in big cities. So it’s natural that they want to have a holiday by the sea or in mountains with nothing to do but relaxing. There is other sort of travellers. They want to visit as many countries as possible. So after exploring Europe and North America they go to exotic countries.
The year is divided into four seasons: winter, spring, summer, and autumn. Each season has its good and bad sides.
The weather in spring is generally mild but sometimes the days are really cold, especially in the beginning of the season. It is the time when everything awakes from its winter sleep.
Summer is the hottest season. It's time for holidays. People go to the seaside to sunbathe, to swim or to have a rest. In our country it usually gets hot in the end of June and July.
Talking about autumn, I guess it isn't as niece as summertime. It's a season of winds and beautiful sunsets. The weather gets cooler and cooler.
A spell of sunny weather in September is called Indian summer or « Golden Autumn», In the end of November it sometimes snows.
Winter is the coldest time of the year. It is time of snow and frost. It is time of New Year and Christmas.
