Task 1. Read the text and answer the questions. Trekking. Horse trekking and ski-tours
This is the most popular type of tourism. Its advantage over the others is that when travelling on foot you may meet rare birds or animals: deer, roe deer, or mountain goats. Not always, but it is still possible. It would be good if you take binocular with you. The disadvantage of trekking is that you have to carry your backpack yourself.
Horse trekking is the most interesting type of tourism. Before going out on mountain tracks you will have to take horseback riding lessons. Horseback routes can be circular and can last one month (expeditionary routes) or 6 to 10 days (tourist routes). The minimal number of people in the group is 4-6. The best help in choosing an extreme route are recommendations of those who have already done it.
Ski-tours is the same as trekking. The only difference is that you use mountain skis for ascending and descending mountain passes and summits.
