Read the text about festivals in the UK and answer the questions.

There are many festivals in the UK. Everyone knows such holidays as Christmas, New Year or Easter. These festivals are celebrated all over the world. But what about some special holidays? Let’s find out.

In February or March there is Pancake day. It is always celebrated on Tuesday. Of course, people eat pancakes on that day. They are usually served with jam, chocolate or lemon and sugar. The most interesting part of this festival is Pancake races! The rules are not easy – you should run with a pancake in a pan and throw it in the air at the same time. The winner should come first without throwing the pancake on the ground.

Another interesting festival is Burns Night. It is celebrated in Scotland. There was a famous Scottish poet Robert Burns in the 18th century. People loved his poems and started to celebrate his birthday. Every year on the 25th of January people have parties. They sing songs, listen to poems and eat haggis.

One more interesting festival is celebrated on the 1st of May. It is called May Day. This day is an official holiday in the country. People usually go to fairs. They watch traditional dancing and play games. There is one interesting tradition on this day – a special dance around a maypole. Children hold coloured ribbons and walk around the maypole to music. There is also a May Queen on this day. She always wears a white dress and a crown.

Now answer the questions:
1) When is Pancake day celebrated? –
2) Who wins Pancake races? –
3) Which festival has a queen? – 4) Who is Robert Burns? –
5) What do people do on May day? –
