. We use a or an to talk about singular nouns we can count e.g. a stone, an apple.
We use some for plural nouns we can count e.g. some seeds, some cherries.
We also use some for nouns we can't count and which haven't got plural forms e.g. some
food, some fruit, some smoke. You can find examples in the story.
