On 18th June 1815, the French army, led Napoleon, embarked upon of the most famous battleshistory. Their opponents: the British and allied forces who had joined
together to defeat the powerful emperor. Having scattered the Prussian army two days prior,
Napoleon was confident he would win the battle. He had led France to victory on
multiple occasions and believed that this battle would bedifferent. As such, the French
army were the first to strike. They launched a powerful attack on the allied front line;
however, the British military respondedcannons and managed to maintain their ground.
As the day progressed, neither side seemed to have the advantage. But then, Prussian
army arrived to join the allied forces. Greatly outnumbered, the French army fell. Napoleon

popular that he later became the Prime Minister of Britain. As for Napoleon, he was
exiled to the distant island of St. Helena he was condemned to spend the rest

days.
