My role model in sport is Pele.

Pele is a nickname. His real name is Edson Arantes do Nascimento.He is a former Brazilian football player who won three World Cup medals and broke many records. He is also known as O Rei (The King) and Perola Negra (The Black Pearl). Pele was the greatest footballer of the century. He scored 1281 goals in 1363 games. Since retirement, Pele has become a global ambassador for sport and is a well-known advocate of overcoming poverty.

He was growing up in poverty on the streets. But he could achieve so fantastic results in his life. I think he is a real man. He has never said anything bad about any other player in the game. He was and is a true sportsman. Every kid around the world who plays football wants to be Pele. Pele said: "Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do." 

I respect this man for his strength, his honesty, need for achievement.

He is the person I want to be like.
