According to Claire, the military will destroy the attack, and she and her brother will receive the remnants of the monsters soaked in the mutagen. Since they decide to transport George on an airplane, and with him everyone else, he breaks free and breaks the plane. Davis manages to save Kate and Russell, for which the latter is very grateful to him, debris falls on a nearby cornfield, but George does not die due to a mutagen, but goes to Chicago.
