Like to slice onions or dice them and add onions to our meals. But/So it has to defend itself. It makes your eyes water! The way the onion bulb is designed legal is very smart. Within each onion cell there is a glob (a kind of a ball) filled with some chemicals. When you cut or bite into an onion, a glob breaks and the chemicals go out. But/ And it is not the strong smell of the onion that makes us cry. It is the gas that chemicals form when the onion cell is opened, And So, now we know what the chemical is!
