Read the second part of the summary of the Chronicles of Narnia. Choose the correct verb in the sentences below. 

Part 2

The four siblings are in Narnia. Tumnus is arrested. The White Witch knows that Lucy was in Narnia. The siblings meet Mr. Beaver, a friend of faun Tumnus. He helps the children to save Tumnus. They take a journey to see a king and god of Narnia, Aslan.

At the Stone Table they notice that Edmund has disappeared. Edmund went to the White Witch. She gets very angry and thinks about the plan to kill the children. She is afraid old saying that four children someday will rule in Narnia.

There are strange seasonal changes during the journey. First, they meet Santa Claus. He tells them that Witch’s magic words of ‘always winter and never Christmas’ have ended. The winter snow melts, and the children see signs of spring. The Witch cannot reach the Stone Table before them. And she treats Edmund poorly.

When the children meet Aslan, he promises them to save Edmund. He showed Peter’s future castle. The Witch’s wolves attack Susan, but Peter saves her. One of them runs. Aslan and his army follow the wolf. The wolf shows the way to the Witch.
