Belarus has rich history and traditions. It used to be a part of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union , and got its independence only in 1991, after the fall of the USSR. But despite being considerably young, the country has carefully preserved all the memories of its previous generations. Unfortunately, dozens of wars and disasters damaged a lot of treasures of Belarus, but nevertheless, the people of the country are trying to restore the precious historical heritage.The country has a developed network of village attractions – tiny homestead hotels for tourists to meet the real country life and enjoy simple pleasures of life away from busy cities.
