1) People in Russia usually decorate New Year trees in December. My family and I do it in the middle of December. Usually we hang toys on the New Year tree together. We hang sweets, nuts, bright balls, lights on the New Year tree.

2) I believe in Father Frost. I believe that New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day are very special.

3) A real treat for me on 31 December is chocolates. I usually hug my parents before going to bed. A real gift for me is books and money. Yes, this evening usually is quiet in my family.

4) Sometimes I prepare greeting cards for my parents, all neighbours and friends on that day.
