1. What languages would you like to know/study? (Why?)
I'd like to know as many languages as possible. As they say, knowing foreign languages helps you understand different people and cultures other than your own. It also strengthens your memory and helps you find your place under the sun.
2. Why is it necessary to study languages?
I don't think that studying foreign languages is a matter of life and death, but you're supposed to study them. They are mandatory subjects, whether you like it or not.
3. How do you think: what languages are required (востребованы) in the world today?
Up until yesterday, I thought English had a more promising future, but today I'm not so sure... Chinese is becoming very popular day by day.
4. Where do you use your knowledge of English in everyday life?
That's a good question. I watch American movies. I read English books, newspapers, magazines. I help my niece with your English homework.
5. How can you use your knowledge of English in future profession?
Let's imagine that I'm a highly qualified welder. And the economy of our country has collapsed. No job, no prospects, no cash. I think it's the right time to use your knowledge of English. With its help, I can easily find a job abroad.
6. Can people live without knowledge of foreign languages in the world today? (prove).
They not only can but they do actually live without knowledge of foreign languages. I've got quite a big family. And only one in twelve people can speak foreign language.
7. Do you agree with the fact that English is the major language in the world nowadays?
Agree. If it wasn't so, now, I wouldn't even be here.
8. What foreign musician/painter would you like to work with? What would you like to ask this person about?
With nobody. Creative people are considered to have great talents and not that easy to get along with.
9. What is the most difficult in learning languages for you?
As with any new activity, the most difficult part is the beginning. Well begun is half done.
