They say that a change is as good as a rest and this certainly seems true for Ricky Valentine. When he left Sony music two years ago to sign for a small independent record label many people were э predicting we'd heard the last from him. But this is not the case. His first for Go-Go records is simply brilliant. Back from the Dead shows that Valentine is not just a great (we all knew that anyway) but that he can music on a much more ambitious level. This is not just a record of Valentine and his guitar. This is Valentine, his guitar and a full orchestra. At times you feel like you're listening to the of some epic Hollywood production. It's quite amazing and quite unlike anything he's done before. The opening which is a of U2's One is mind-blowing. The rest of the songs (all original compositions) don't disappoint. If you only buy one CD this year, makes sure it's this one​
